September 2012

Transmission Operations Australia Pty Limited (TOA) was established in August 2012.

On 3 September 2012 Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Limited and Power Assets Holdings announce that that they were expanding into renewable energy transmission in Australia by investing in a power transmission link in Victoria.

TOA will construct, own and operate the transmission link that that transports renewable energy from the 130 megawatt Mt Mercer Wind Farm to Victoria’s power grid.  On completion the high-voltage network will comprise 21km of overhead power line, two transformers and a terminal station.

November 2013 - TOA successfully reached practical completion of the Mt Mercer Farm electrical connection assets, 21km of 132kV power line and the Elaine Terminal Station in Victoria. The project was delivered on time, in 14 months, with zero lost time injuries.
